The EU is breaking new ground in business promotion and wants to convince European companies to get involved in Botswana as part of the Global Gateway Initiative.
The Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) in the capital Gaborone will be hosting a gathering of economic actors from the EU and the host country in mid-October. The organisers – the European Delegation to Botswana, the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and BITC – are expecting up to 300 European and local investors and companies.
Visitors to the forum will be able to discuss trade and investment opportunities in B2B sessions and workshops. The focus will be on the economic sectors of health and pharmaceuticals, finance, manufacturing (including automotive and e-mobility), IT and mining.
