The event in Augsburg, Bavaria is the only neutral congress trade fair in Europe for technologies for off-grid energy supply and use. This year, Kenya is the guest country.

The OFF GRID Expo & Conference (OEC) was launched in 2011 as a workshop, attracted more and more participants, and has developed into a unique blend of trade fair, congress, and networking event. The African continent traditionally plays an important role at the OCE: Since 2020, the Alliance for Rural Electrification has been the official conference partner.

This year, Kenya will be guest country. “As a pioneer in off-grid solutions, particularly in the areas of renewable energy and sustainable development, Kenya is an ideal representative of the OFF-GRID industry”, the organisers point out.

Visitors can look forward to innovative products, solutions and start-ups. There will also be presentations on current topics such as e-mobility, productive use and sector coupling, energy storage and water-energy-nutrition, as well as an Education Mile where colleges, universities and research institutes will introduce themselves.
