September 17: Africa Insight! Geo-economic rivalries
At a parliamentary breakfast organised by the German-African Business Association, the German ambassador to the DR Congo speaks about the geopolitical competition for raw materials.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is at the centre of global power interests – above all because of its wealth of strategically important raw materials. At the invitation of the German-African Business Association, German Ambassador Ingo Herbert will explain on what the geo-economic rivalries mean for the region. In addition, current developments regarding the monkeypox outbreak will be discussed.
Together with political decision-makers, business representatives and experts, Herbert will talk about current developments as well as possible solutions. The event is aimed at representatives from politics and business, members of academic institutions and interested individuals from political Berlin and beyond. A small snack in the form of finger food will be served.
