October 11 – 14: Africa Multiple Cluster Conference (Bayreuth)
The University of Bayreuth is hosting the fourth conference of the “Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence”, which includes universities in Burkina Faso, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
The cluster aims to advance the study of Africa and its diaspora in a systematic and transdisciplinary way. At the conference in October, the focus will be on “spatial phenomena and their diverse forms of expression”. The hybrid event will provide a forum for scholars in and outside of the Cluster to share their latest research and create a space for theoretical debates and intellectual exchange.
The programme will feature 3 keynote events, more than 30 panel sessions, as well as a roundtable discussion, a film screening, an artist performance and a book conversation. Participants come from a wide range of academic disciplines and include artists and activists. All sessions are open for the public.
