November 13/14: African Economic Development Conference
The Kiel Institute for the World Economy and the Centre for Economic Policy Research are jointly host a hybrid event at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation & Development in Berlin.
“As priorities in donor countries shift toward self-interest”, the hosts write in the invitation, “traditional financing approaches will need to be complemented by other sources of capital to meet the needs of a rapidly growing population. This shift presents opportunities, such as increased sovereignty, but also carries the risk of greater instability.”
The event is jointly organised by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and the CEPR in cooperation with the African School of Economics (ASE) and offers the opportunity to participate online. Speakers include:
Thorsten Beck (EUI and CEPR)
Xavier Giné (World Bank and CEPR)
Ugo Panizza (Geneva Graduate Institute and CEPR)
Lore Vandewalle (KU Leuven and CEPR)
Event: 2nd Kiel-CEPR African Economic Development Conference (AEDC)
Time: November 13/14
Location: Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Berlin
